Groove Quantum Raises €16M and Unveils 18-Qubit Germanium Spin-Qubit Processor

Groove Quantum raised €16 million in combined funding and demonstrated an 18-qubit semiconductor spin-qubit processor on April 30, 2026. The equity portion of €10 million was co-led by Innovation Industries and 55 North with participation from Verve Ventures and the European Innovation Council Fund, plus €6 million in grants from the EIC Accelerator and EU Chips Act programme. Groove Quantum is a Delft-based startup spun out of QuTech in 2024 with a team of 11 people that achieved the 18-qubit milestone in under two years. Dr. Anne-Marije Zwerver serves as CEO and co-founder of Groove Quantum.
