Red Hat Cements Sovereign Credentials with Telenet Deal and New Products

Red Hat announced a deal with Belgium-based Telenet Business on May 15, 2026 to build a sovereign private cloud using Red Hat OpenShift. Telenet Business serves over 10,000 business customers across Belgium and migrated approximately 200 of nearly 1,000 virtual machines across two regional datacentres. The platform supports co-existence of virtual machines and containerised applications managed via Red Hat’s Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes with data replicated four times. Red Hat also unveiled partnerships with Core42 for sovereign AI in the UAE and expanded collaboration with Sopra Steria in France.
