Gavriel Cohen and brother Lazer Cohen raised $12 million in seed funding for NanoClaw on May 19, 2026, reaching a $62 million valuation. The Tel Aviv company launched NanoClaw in 2026 as a lightweight, open-source secure alternative to OpenClaw after identifying security flaws in the latter. The round was led by Valley Capital Partners with participation from Docker, Vercel, Monday.com, and Hugging Face CEO Clem Delangue, closing in four days. Gavriel Cohen plans to use the funds for enterprise personal agents, with over 100 companies interested and hiring planned for researchers and engineers; the project received a $20 million acquisition offer within five weeks of launch. Users include AI researcher Andrej Karpathy and Singapore foreign minister Vivian Balakrishnan.
