Greenhouse Enters Definitive Agreement to Acquire Ezra AI Labs for Voice AI Interviewing

Greenhouse, the leading hiring platform, announced on May 5, 2026 that it entered a definitive agreement to acquire Ezra AI Labs, a voice AI interviewer delivering structured on-demand conversations. The deal is expected to close this quarter subject to customary conditions. Applications per recruiter on Greenhouse spiked 412% since 2023 while 74% of candidates now use AI in job searches and fewer than 7% of applicants receive interviews. Daniel Chait, CEO and co-founder of Greenhouse, stated hiring remains the same process as thirty years ago just moved online from paper resumes to PDFs. Ezra AI Labs founder Ophir Samson noted the platform gives every candidate a voice and recruiters a structured transparent signal unlike prior robotic AI interviews.
