Cursor released Composer 2.5 on May 19, 2026 as a substantial upgrade over Composer 2. Composer 2.5 delivers better performance on sustained work for long-running tasks and more reliable following of complex instructions. Pricing for the model is $0.50 per million input tokens and $2.50 per million output tokens in standard mode or $3.00 input and $15.00 output in fast default mode. Cursor announced double included usage of the model for the first week after launch.
