IBM Teams Up With SETU in €11.5 Million Educational Initiative

IBM announced a partnership with South East Technological University on May 13, 2026, providing an €11.5 million technology system that includes an IBM z17 mainframe. The initiative supports skills development in computer science, engineering, cybersecurity, data, and AI for students and student-led technology societies. The z17 mainframe consolidates 60 existing servers to enhance teaching and research in systems administration, programming, and AI. IBM Security is not mentioned specifically in the initiative.
