ClickUp introduced Brain 2 on May 12, 2026, upgrading its AI assistant from question-answering to executing complex tasks like generating slide presentations, interactive dashboards, websites, and executable code. The update grants AI models direct contextual access to ClickUp workspaces and automatically routes tasks among models such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini based on work type. ClickUp built Brain 2 on acquisitions of Qatalog Inc. for permission-aware AI search with over 100 integrations and Codegen Inc. for agentic AI development capabilities. Founder and CEO Zeb Evans stated that Brain 2 ensures models have full access to workspaces to act on information. ClickUp hosts more than 11 million agents and has surpassed $300 million in annual recurring revenue with sharp growth in AI-related sales.
