Google Prepares Gemini 3.1 Pro Rollout for Gemini Code Assist Users

Google made Gemini 3.1 Pro and Gemini 3.0 Flash available in Preview to Gemini Code Assist users in VS Code and IntelliJ. Users can apply the models to agent mode, chat, and code generation. Enterprise users access the Preview release channel while individuals and Standard users join a waitlist. Gemini 3.1 Pro rollout continues with full access for Google AI Ultra subscribers and partial rollout for others as of mid-May 2026.
