Snowflake Announces Intent to Acquire Observe for AI-Powered Observability

Snowflake signed a definitive agreement on January 8, 2026 to acquire Observe, a leader in AI-powered observability. The deal expands Snowflake into the $50+ billion IT operations management software market and enables full-fidelity telemetry retention plus AI-powered troubleshooting up to 10x faster. Jeremy Burton, CEO of Observe, said the move accelerates observability at enterprise scale by combining Observe’s AI SRE with Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud. Sridhar Ramaswamy, CEO of Snowflake, stated the acquisition empowers customers to manage enterprise-wide observability across terabytes to petabytes of telemetry.
