Cisco announced it would cut fewer than 4,000 jobs, or approximately 5% of its workforce, on May 15, 2026. The reductions form part of a restructuring to shift spending toward artificial intelligence infrastructure, cybersecurity, silicon, and optics even as the company reported better-than-expected profit and revenue for its fiscal third quarter.
