MLflow 3.12.0 Released with Multimodal Tracing and AI Gateway Guardrails

MLflow maintainers released version 3.12.0 on May 5, 2026. The update adds multimodal tracing support for storing PDFs, audio, and images as artifact attachments in tracing spans, plus Codex, Gemini, and Qwen coding agent tracing integrations. It includes gateway guardrails to block unsafe model inputs and outputs, and paginated trace tables for faster UI performance. MLflow 3.12.0 builds on prior releases with 337 commits since the previous version and supports over 800 community contributors across more than 5,000 organizations.
