Arize AI released coding-harness-tracing, an open source project on GitHub for tracing AI coding agent workflows. The tool inspects prompts, tool calls, shell commands, file edits, retries, latency, token usage, and errors across Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, and Gemini CLI. Developers can evaluate coding agents by comparing prompts, models, skills, tools, and MCP servers. Arize AI's blog post on May 18, 2026, details the launch with co-authors Duncan McKinnon and Chris Cooning.
