TerraPay, Cooperative Bank of Oromia and Quantoz Payments launched blockchain-based euro settlement for inward remittances to Ethiopia with the announcement dated May 11, 2026. The partnership combines TerraPay's cross-border network, Cooperative Bank of Oromia's domestic banking infrastructure and Quantoz's regulated digital euro settlement. The system processes euro-denominated transfers from Europe using blockchain infrastructure for faster and cheaper clearing than traditional cross-border bank networks.
