Bridgit Mendler, co-founder and CEO of Northwood Space, announced a $49.8 million contract award from the U.S. Space Force on January 27, 2026. The three-year deal augments capacity of the Satellite Control Network used for tracking launches, early satellite operations, and emergency support for tumbling spacecraft. Northwood's phased-array ground stations enable connections across multiple orbits. The contract announcement coincided with the $100 million Series B close.
