MultiChoice partners Rapyd to launch new payments platform in Africa. The new platform, called Moment, will offer an expanded payment infrastructure for entertainment services across the continent. MultiChoice Group, UK fintech Rapyd and venture capital firm General Catalyst formed the joint venture. Moment integrates payments for MultiChoice's subscriber base in multiple African markets. General Catalyst participated in the venture alongside the two companies.
