Pinecone Expands with New Frankfurt Cloud Region Delivering Knowledge Infrastructure for AI to Central Europe

Pinecone announced availability on AWS Europe (Frankfurt) Region (eu-central-1) alongside Nexus knowledge engine, KnowQL query language, Marketplace, Builder tier, and native full-text search. The Frankfurt region launch occurred around May 5-6, 2026. CEO Ash Ashutosh stated that the launches deliver the most comprehensive knowledge infrastructure for AI at a scale and price point that removes every barrier to building. The announcements coincide with the Singapore serverless region launch and serve more than 9,000 customers worldwide.
