Redis Adds Flex SSD Version Alongside Iris Context Engine Launch

Redis launched Iris and the Flex SSD product on May 18, 2026. Flex rearchitects the core to treat flash as a native storage medium and delivers petabyte-scale retrieval at sub-5-millisecond latency. Rowan Trollope explained that Flex stores 99 percent of data on SSDs at one order of magnitude lower cost than RAM to support large enterprise data subsets for agents. The Context Engine comprises Redis Context Retriever, Redis Agent Memory, and Redis Data Integration. Redis reached $300 million annualized recurring revenue driven by AI workloads.
