Palo Alto Networks Acquires Portkey for AI Control

Palo Alto Networks announced its intent to acquire Portkey on April 30, 2026. Portkey processed over 500 billion tokens daily and handled 12.5 crore requests every 24 hours by early 2026. The acquisition values Portkey at roughly ₹1,140 to ₹1,330 crore, double its prior valuation from two months earlier. Portkey will serve as the AI Gateway for Prisma AIRS to monitor and secure AI agent interactions. Palo Alto Networks reported annual revenue exceeding ₹94,000 crore at announcement.
