Corefy Releases Study of 112 Payment Manager Job Descriptions from 2025-2026

Corefy released The State of the Payment Manager Role 2026 report on May 13, 2026 after analyzing 112 job descriptions posted in 2025 and 2026 across 15+ countries and 19 industries. The study found approval rate as the top KPI at 14.1% of mentions, ahead of payment success rate and processing cost at 6.7% each. 55% of descriptions framed the role operationally with manage, monitor, and coordinate language while only a minority granted authority to influence approval rates via routing and provider performance. Denys Kyrychenko, Co-founder & CEO at Corefy, stated that companies measure Payment Managers on approval rate yet often withhold tools and authority for routing, retries, and provider performance.
