France selects Scaleway to host Health Data Hub replacing Microsoft Azure

French government selected Scaleway, a subsidiary of Iliad, to host the Health Data Hub replacing Microsoft Azure. The move repatriates sensitive health data to a domestic provider after years of controversy over foreign cloud storage. Scaleway will manage the platform under Iliad Group ownership with €3 billion invested in sovereign AI infrastructure. France previously used Microsoft Azure for the Health Data Hub since its launch in 2021.
