Freshworks Cuts 11% Workforce Amid AI Integration Push

Freshworks announced a workforce reduction of approximately 500 employees, or 11% of staff, on May 5, 2026, alongside Q1 earnings. CEO Dennis Woodside noted more than half the company’s code is now written using AI tools. The cuts target automation of routine operations and product engineering functions. Revenue grew 2.7% sequentially to $228.6 million despite the net loss of $4.8 million.
