President Trump endorsed Rep. Julia Letlow over incumbent Sen. Bill Cassidy in the May 17, 2026, Louisiana GOP Senate primary. Cassidy voted to convict Trump during the 2021 impeachment trial following the January 6 Capitol riot. Cassidy's campaign spent $9.6 million on advertising through May 16, 2026, while Louisiana Freedom Fund super PAC spent $12.3 million. Letlow's campaign spent $3.9 million and Accountability Project super PAC spent $6 million. Fleming's campaign spent $1.5 million in the race.
