Pinecone launched its first serverless region in Asia on AWS Asia Pacific (Singapore) Region (ap-southeast-1) around May 5, 2026. The expansion delivers low-latency AI workloads and local data residency to Southeast Asia, Australia, and broader Asia-Pacific markets. The Singapore launch paired with announcements of Nexus knowledge engine, KnowQL query language, Marketplace with over 90 applications, Builder tier, and Dedicated Read Nodes.
