SeekOut’s Anoop Gupta Steps Down as CEO Hands Reins to Sean Thompson

Anoop Gupta stepped down as chief executive officer of SeekOut on May 4 2026 and became executive chairman. Sean Thompson a veteran with prior leadership at NAVEX SAP and Microsoft assumed the CEO role. Gupta and co-founder Aravind Bala started SeekOut in 2017 after collaborating at Microsoft. The Bellevue-based company employs approximately 150 people and serves more than 750 corporate customers. Thompson plans to scale the agentic AI recruiting service SeekOut Spot launched one year earlier and pursue acquisitions of recruiting agencies.
