Google Gemini Code Assist Adds Gemini 3.1 Pro and 3.0 Flash Models in Preview

Google released Gemini 3.1 Pro and 3.0 Flash models for Gemini Code Assist users in VS Code and IntelliJ on March 13, 2026. The models support agent mode, chat, and inline code completion in preview stage. Gemini Code Assist previously relied on earlier Gemini versions before this update. Google Cloud documentation lists the new models as available to all Gemini Code Assist subscribers starting March 13, 2026.
