Bolt Technology Partners with Dongfeng for Electric Vehicle Fleet in South Africa

Bolt Technology OU agreed a deal with China’s Dongfeng Motor Group Co. to roll out an electric-vehicle fleet in South Africa that Yugo Rides will manage. Bolt already holds more than 50% of the South African ride-hailing market after investing about $180 million to build out the business. Simo Kalajdzic, the manager of local operations, provided details on the partnership. Bolt Technology OU agreed the deal on May 15, 2026, with Yugo Rides managing the fleet.
