CircleCI released its 2026 State of Software Delivery report based on analysis of over 28 million workflows. The report details how AI acceleration affected enterprise teams using LLMs and coding agents. Average throughput increased by 59% year-over-year while main branch success rates fell to 70.8%. Elite teams nearly doubled throughput and adopted autonomous validation for over 10,000 daily changes. CircleCI report shows recovery times from failed builds rose 13% to 72 minutes on average.
