Capital One closed its acquisition of Hopper technology and employees in April 2026. CEO Richard Fairbank stated the company now fully owns the technology that powers Capital One Travel. Around 150 Hopper employees transitioned to Capital One roles. Hopper continues to provide fintech products to Capital One Travel while remaining a major investor in Hopper.
