Cisco Announces Record Revenue of $15.8 Billion and 4,000 Layoffs on Same Day

Cisco reported fiscal Q3 2026 revenue of $15.8 billion, up 12 percent year over year, on May 14, 2026. The company expects AI infrastructure orders for the fiscal year to reach $9 billion, up from $5 billion, and AI revenue to reach $4 billion, up from $3 billion. Cisco will reduce its workforce in Q4 by fewer than 4,000 jobs, less than 5 percent of its total employee base, with notifications beginning May 14, 2026. Chuck Robbins said the company expects to recognize up to $1 billion of pre-tax charges related to the restructuring.
