CircleCI Launches Native Slack Integration in Beta on May 13 2026

CircleCI introduced a native Slack integration in beta on May 13 2026. The feature replaces manual configuration of the Slack orb that previously required wiring tokens, managing secrets, and per-project setup. The new integration allows direct notification settings within CircleCI without additional ceremony. It builds on prior orb-based notifications for build and deployment alerts. CircleCI also released Server 4.9.3 and updated Ubuntu machine images on the same date.
