Google DeepMind Co-founder Demis Hassabis Closes $2.1 Billion Series B for Isomorphic Labs

Demis Hassabis closed a $2.1 billion Series B funding round for Isomorphic Labs, his AI drug-discovery company. The round, one of the largest tech-biotech raises, funds expansion of the proprietary IsoDDE AI engine with a target of advancing machine-designed treatments into human clinical trials by the end of 2026. Investors include Thrive Capital, Alphabet, MGX, Temasek and UK Sovereign AI Fund, bringing total capital above $2.6 billion. Isomorphic Labs spun out of Google DeepMind and leverages AlphaFold technology that earned Hassabis the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
