Star Catcher Industries closed a $65 million Series A funding round on May 12, 2026. B Capital led the round with co-leads Shield Capital and Cerberus Ventures, bringing total funding to $88 million. The Jacksonville, Florida company develops a constellation of LEO satellites that collect sunlight and beam energy via optical lasers to customer spacecraft using existing solar panels. Star Catcher broke a DARPA wireless optical power transmission record in late 2025 by delivering more than 1.1 kW to commercial off-the-shelf panels. CEO Andrew Rush previously led Made In Space, which Redwire acquired.
