Moonshot AI Reaches $20B Valuation After $2B Funding Round Led by Meituan

Moonshot AI closed a $2 billion funding round at more than $20 billion valuation on May 7, 2026. The round was led by Meituan’s venture arm Long-Z Investments. Annual recurring revenue for Moonshot AI topped $200 million in April 2026 from subscriptions to its Kimi chatbot and AI model services. Moonshot AI was valued at $4.3 billion at the end of 2025 and $10 billion earlier in 2026 after a $700 million raise. The Beijing-based company develops the Kimi series of open-weight large language models that compete with OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic offerings.
