Cursor Ships Composer 2.5 Model with Double Usage Promo for One Week

Cursor launched Composer 2.5 on May 18, 2026 as its in-house coding model based on Moonshot Kimi K2.5 checkpoint. Cursor spent 85 percent of compute on its own post-training and RL stack for improved intelligence on long-running tasks and complex instructions. The model runs only inside Cursor with no public API at standard pricing of $0.50 input and $2.50 output per million tokens or fast variant at $3.00 and $15.00. Cursor doubled included usage of the model for the first week after launch.
