CockroachDB Launches on IBM Cloud and Power Systems for Agentic AI Workloads

Cockroach Labs announced on May 13, 2026 that CockroachDB will be available in the IBM Cloud catalogue and supported on IBM Power processor-based server systems. The partnership addresses growing enterprise demand for databases supporting both traditional transactional workloads and emerging AI use cases. CockroachDB is a cloud-agnostic, PostgreSQL-compatible database designed for resilience and scale across hybrid and multicloud environments. The inclusion of CockroachDB in the IBM Cloud catalog builds on the growing collaboration between Cockroach Labs and IBM.
