SpaceXAI signed a compute agreement with Anthropic on May 14, 2026, granting Anthropic access to the Colossus 1 facility. xAI had vacated Colossus 1 in favor of its newer Colossus 2 data center. The deal provides Anthropic with additional capacity while xAI focuses resources on Colossus 2 and orbital data-center plans. This marks xAI’s first major infrastructure partnership with a direct competitor after the SpaceX merger.
