Graphite One Secures Conneaut Ohio Site for Active Anode Materials Facility

Graphite One Inc. secured a site in Conneaut, Ashtabula County, Ohio on May 19, 2026 for its Active Anode Materials facility via license of occupation agreement with Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad Company, a CN subsidiary. The site offers direct Lake Erie access, multi-line rail connectivity, on-site power substation, and expansion capacity; the company terminated its prior Warren, Ohio lease to prioritize Conneaut. Phase One targets 10,000 tonnes per year production capacity by Q4 2027 split as 4,000 tonnes energy storage material, 3,000 tonnes fast-charging material and 3,000 tonnes high-energy-density material for lithium-ion EV, grid storage and data center batteries.
