Form Energy and Crusoe Announce 12 GWh Iron-Air Battery Agreement for AI Data Centers

Form Energy and Crusoe Energy announced a strategic capacity agreement on March 24, 2026, at CERAWeek in Houston, Texas. Crusoe secured reserved volume, pricing, and delivery terms for 12 gigawatt-hours of Form Energy’s 100-hour iron-air battery systems, with deliveries beginning in 2027. All systems will be manufactured at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, West Virginia. Form Energy CEO Mateo Jaramillo stated the partnership unlocks new capacity for data centers while strengthening domestic manufacturing. Crusoe Co-founder and President Cully Cavness noted the agreement reinforces Crusoe’s commitment to energy innovation and secures infrastructure at scale.
