Graphite One secures Conneaut Ohio site for Alaska-Ohio anode supply chain

Graphite One Inc. secured a site in Conneaut, Ashtabula County, Ohio, on May 19, 2026, through a license of occupation agreement with Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad Company, a Canadian National Railway subsidiary. The site offers direct Lake Erie and Great Lakes shipping access, multi-line CN rail connectivity, on-site substation power infrastructure, and capacity for future expansion. CEO Anthony Huston stated the company now has a defined path from site control through development to production and customer engagement for a vertically integrated U.S.-based supply chain. COO Mike Schaffner noted the location supports efficient material movement and production capacity scaling as demand develops.
