Rapyd, a London-based paytech founded in 2016, is in talks to raise $300 million in a new funding round that would value the company at $3.5 billion. The funds would support Rapyd's acquisition strategy, including the purchase of an unnamed payment processing startup. Rapyd offers online and in-store payment solutions, multi-currency business accounts, cross-border payouts, and virtual and physical card issuance services. Rapyd previously acquired Valitor for $100 million in 2022 and the GPO arm of PayU for $610 million in 2023.
