LangChain Launches LangSmith LLM Gateway in Private Beta for Agent Governance

LangChain launched LangSmith LLM Gateway on May 13, 2026, a runtime governance layer that enforces spend limits at organization, workspace, user, or API key levels and redacts PII from requests and responses. The gateway logs policy events into LangSmith traces and integrates with LangSmith Engine for triage. Setup requires a one-line base_url swap with LangSmith API key. Martha Janicki announced the private beta during the Interrupt 2026 conference.
