Solana DeFi Project Ranger Finance Shuts Down Following Drift Exploit Fallout

Ranger Finance announced a gradual shutdown on May 15, 2026 amid funding delays and impact from the Drift vulnerability. The Solana ecosystem DeFi project cited unsustainable operations and treasury liquidation that severely affected budgets. The Drift attack further drained remaining funds and personal capital injected by founders. Co-founder cobra (@barrett_io) acknowledged the shutdown should have occurred earlier and issued an apology. Affected users will receive recovery tokens from the Drift team.
