African Rainbow Energy raised its ownership in SOLA Group from 41 percent to 83 percent in a May 2026 transaction. Patrice Motsepe’s firm gained majority control of the South African renewable energy developer. The deal values the portfolio at more than 20 billion rand or about $1.2 billion.
