Honeycomb launched updates to its observability platform on May 12, 2026, to enhance visibility into AI agent activities in production environments. The new features include Agent Timeline for unified dashboards connecting LLM calls, agent handoffs, and tool invocations such as email viewing or content management system calls, plus Canvas as an AI-human collaborative workspace for plain English queries and visual snapshots. Canvas Skills and Auto-Investigations enable reusable debugging playbooks and automatic probes upon alerts. Co-founder and CEO Christine Yen stated that AI agents are now part of the engineering team but most teams cannot see what those agents are doing in production. Honeycomb applies its observability design to agent tracking without requiring proprietary SDKs or frameworks.
