MLflow 3.12.0 adds multimodal tracing and Databricks API updates

MLflow released version 3.12.0 on May 23, 2026. The release added multimodal tracing to store multimodal content and updated Databricks API calls to use new gRPC APIs instead of py4j APIs. Developers added native Databricks gateway provider support in the same version. MLflow 3.12.0 includes updates by contributors daniellok-db, WeichenXu123 and TomeHirata.
