Akamai to Acquire LayerX Security for Approximately $210 Million

Akamai Technologies entered into a definitive agreement to acquire LayerX Security Ltd. for approximately $210 million on May 14, 2026. A cash consideration of $205 million will be paid after expected purchase price adjustments. LayerX employees including Co-Founders Or Eshed and David Vaisbrud will join Akamai’s Zero Trust organization. The acquisition is expected to be dilutive to Akamai’s non-GAAP EPS by approximately $0.12 for fiscal year 2026 with LayerX projected to generate $10 million in annual recurring revenue at year end.
