Notion Launches Developer Platform with Workers, CLI, and External Agents API

Notion announced its Developer Platform on May 13, 2026, during a livestreamed event. The platform includes Notion CLI named ntn, Workers as hosted runtime for custom code, Database Sync from sources like Salesforce and Zendesk, Agent Tools, Webhook Triggers, External Agents API, and Notion Agents SDK. Over 1 million Custom Agents existed prior to the launch. Ivan Zhao, Notion co-founder and CEO, stated that users can now use Notion database as a canvas to power workflows and agents. Workers remain free through August 11, 2026, before shifting to Notion credits.
