Peter Steinberger founder of OpenClaw runs 100 Codex instances in the cloud. His team of three people at OpenAI uses the agents to review PRs find security holes and write fixes. Steinberger shared a graph of OpenAI token usage showing $1.3 million spent in 30 days with fast mode enabled. Turning off fast mode would reduce costs by 70 percent to approximately $390000. Steinberger joined OpenAI to build AI agents.
