Bolt Appoints Interim CEO Justin Grooms as Maju Kuruvilla Departs

San Francisco-based fintech Bolt appointed its global head of sales Justin Grooms as interim CEO following the departure of Maju Kuruvilla. Kuruvilla served as CEO for over two years after assuming the role in January 2022 when founder Ryan Breslow transitioned to chairman. The board voted to remove Kuruvilla last weekend in an amicable split. Bolt spokesperson expressed confidence in current leadership on May 16, 2026.
