Rivet launched agentOS as a lightweight operating system for AI agents built on WASM and V8. The platform supports actors with in-memory state, global edge deployment, WebSockets, workflows, and queues. Cold starts average 6 milliseconds with 22 MB RAM footprint at 32x lower cost than traditional sandboxes. Rivet runs on laptops, Rivet Cloud, Railway, Vercel, Kubernetes, or on-prem setups. Backed by Y Combinator and a16z Speedrun, the system targets the agentic era with built-in observability tools.
